I am thrilled and honoured to share the my documentary "ANGIE - TALES OF DETERMINATION" was selected by First Nations Film and Video Festival. I am so thankful to Christopher Darton who believed in me enough to share my story.
"ANGIE - TALES OF DETERMINATION" will be released for public viewing in 2022.
‘Angie: Tales of Determination’ is a Blues Harp Productions documentary film in association with JustRidin.com; it is the company’s follow-up film to Essence of Goodness: The Harold Axtell Story (2019) and At the Brink: A Personal Look at Suicides Over Niagara Falls (2020).
‘Angie: Tales of Determination’ follows the life of Angie Sandow; born with multiple congenital birth defects, the most noticeable of which is her right arm and hand, she overcame adversity and as a result of the word “can’t” not being in her vocabulary, has never let anything stop her. Not one to hide her limb difference, Angie played lead guitar using a prosthetic in her AC/DC Tribute Band called BARE RUMP and is the lead singer in her classic rock band Lefty and the Goons.
After being diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2014, Angie decided to live out her dream of riding her own motorcycles.
Angie is a force. Overcoming everything that stands in her way and exuding a personality and propensity to help others by sharing her story. Embraced by the motorcycle community, riding changed Angie’s life introducing her to a whole “new family,” one who accepted her based solely on who she is.
Christopher Darton is an Indigenous Canadian producer/director of the documentary features, ‘The Way We Was: The Story of the Kendall Wall Band’ and ‘Hard Working Man: The Music and Miracles of Danny Brooks.’ As well; he acts as producer for Skeleton Crew Entertainment the team behind the award winning mini-movie/music video ‘Halloween Baby’ and the short comedy/horror film ’37% Pure Evil.’ In 2017 he was director of photography on the Niagara Music Awards nominated music video Hammered and Nailed for The Mighty Duck Blues Band as well as directing and shooting the music video Monkey Business for Judy Brown.
Angie Sandow is an Inspirational Speaker, Musician and avid motorcyclist. She has brought together her passion for riding and sharing her personal life story in hopes of helping others.
