What An Amazing Saturday!!

The Women's Motorcycle Conference was held online on Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13. Organized by Alisa Clickenger, the Conference gives a voice to all women on all bikes from all disciplines of riding. This past conference featured content curated exclusively for female motorcycle riders and those women interested in the motorcycling lifestyle. Participants and Presenters had an opportunity to:

  • Be inspired by women riders from around the globe

  • Come together online and in-person to learn new things

  • Discover new ways to connect

  • Gain new perspectives and knowledge

  • Focus on education, community and networking

  • Be encouraged, enlightened and supported

Angie sharing her story at the Women's Motorcycle Conference

This was my first time participating and I had an absolute blast! I am so thankful for having had the opportunity to share my story TALES OF DETERMINATION - FROM CHEMO TO THROTTLE which explained how a breast cancer diagnosis motivated me to ride my own motorcycle, despite being born with congenital birth defects the most noticeable of which is the limb difference of my right arm and hand.

The schedule (see below) was full of inspirational and informative presentations and I had the good fortune to connect with some amazing women. It is absolutely incredible where a motorcycle can take you and how much you learn about yourself and your abilities

Schedule For Women Motorcycle Conference March 12-13 2021

With such an impressive schedule, I wonder how women can pass up an opportunity to participate in such a fantastic event.

I am hopeful that I will be able to attend the next conference which is scheduled for August 19-22, 2021 Online and LIVE in Arlington, VA. The theme for this event is Celebration and a ride has been organized which will start in Portland, Oregon and end at the conference.

My participation will only depend on my ability to cross the border from Canada into the United States which has been closed since late March, 2020 as a result of COVID-19.

Details about what promises to be an amazing event follow;

ABOUT THE CELEBRATION

– Join us for the Largest Women’s Motorcycle Event in 2021 –

The Suffragists Centennial Motorcycle Ride is an AMA-sanctioned cross-country motorcycle riding celebration that starts in Portland, Oregon, and flows East towards Arlington, Virginia, celebrating the centennial of the signing of the 19th amendment – women’s right to vote.

Registrants can choose a fully-guided (everything is done for you!) motorcycle tour experience or a flexible self-guided motorcycle tour experience. The Centennial Ride kicks off in Portland, Oregon and will gain momentum on its Eastward journey, picking up riders along the way. The event features a stop at the 81st Sturgis Motorcycle Rally to participate in the Biker Belles Celebration, a full day in Yellowstone National Park, a citywide celebration in Knoxville, Tennessee, where we kick off a weeklong celebration all the way to D.C. Our event ends at the Women’s Motorcycle Conference in Arlington, VA.

For our history buffs, we are offering a route starting in New York City which visits the key 19th-Amendment historical sites of the Northeast. The NY Historic Route is a week-long adventure that connects with the rest of the riders in Arlington at the Women’s Motorcycle Conference in Arlington, VA.

We invite you to embody unity, community and the freedom of the road with us. With years of event planning experience and hundreds of thousands of miles behind us, the Women’s Motorcycle Tours team understands the power and excitement that such a cross-country event can offer. The camaraderie and friendships that form over the course of our Centennial events change lives, establish life-long friendships, and bring riders together in a way that only epic motorcycle journeys can.
